8 Hypotheses about the process of Humanization
(aka human evolution, civilization, survival, prosperity)

Although Dr. He Ping, Professor of Philosophy and Director of Women's Studies at the University of Wuhan, is not directly deeply involved in the study of Naxi culture, I would not have developed my node in the Naxi Nexus but for her.  She was not only the co-convenor  with Professor He Yaohua of Yunnan University of the Kumming Conference I attended in 2001, but she also insisted on my revising for her and updating  the paper I had presented at the 1979 meetings of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.  She translated it herself and saw it published by the Institute of Marxist Philosophy, 2002, Wuhan University Press, as "Transistions from Kinship to Class Relations and Effects on Equality of Women." This work is the basis of the pictographic art I presented in response to Gao Feng's Naxi series.

The titles of the 8 panels are didactic poems in English, Arabic, and Spanish.  I have asked Hu Ying to translate them into Chinese.

Should she have time to translate the prologue and/or epilogue, you will see why I am such an admirer of Gillian Tett.
