That summer, Professors Sylvia and Ed Krebs contacted Hu Ying and through her, Gao Feng. The Krebs, who have traveled and taught in different Chinese provinces for more than 30 years, had learned of the Texas exhibition of Gao Feng's drawings of the Naxi genesis through the U.S.China People's Friendship Association.
